About Us

Sheila L. Agnew is an author, entrepreneur and inspirational speaker on topics with focus on women over 40.

As an entrepreneur in the Special Events industry for over twenty-five years, her experience in meeting, convention and event planning, decorating, marketing, promotions, trade show and exhibit management has provided her opportunities to travel across the country working on major image based events.

Sheila has been a mentor in programs that range from youth education to assisting aspiring entrepreneurs in business start-ups for several years.

For five years, Sheila co-produced a successful event in Ohio, Spirited Sisters Expo that provided an arena for self-development in careers, business, health, relationships, finances and communities and became the inspiration for writing All About the Vets, “A Sharing of Life Experiences for Women of Honor.”

In the book, Sheila speaks to women through her experiences and those of other women, to challenge, motivate and inspire them to pursue their passions and dreams regardless of age.

She provides valuable information that will offer guidance in what she affectionately terms the “Mo Better” years. Among the discussions are divine beauty, fashion, building confidence, changing attitudes, preventive health care, menopause, dating and marrying younger men, sister bonding, perseverance, spirituality and reinvention.

A Chicago native, Sheila is currently an event and business consultant.  She earned her B.S. in Business Administration from Chicago State University, is a candidate for an MBA with emphasis on leadership and has received several awards and recognitions for both her creativity and entrepreneurial skills.

Sheila says, “All About the Vets and the Mo Better website is a salute to mature women and prays that all who read will be encouraged and find something that stirs up a greater awareness of self.”
